Still looking for your Atlantis?
If you’re still searching for the ultimate paradise location which offers you crystal clear waters, beautiful white sandy beaches and the finest accommodation beyond imagination – then look no more!
Come and take a trip with me to Atlantis Paradise Island in the beautiful Bahamas, Atlantis Paradise Island is more than just another hotel its another world, a world of discoveries for you and your family.
Atlantis is home to three interconnecting hotel towers and is surrounded by the world’s largest waterscapes and lagoons, which contain more than 50,000 marine animals from over 200 species. You can walk through (no need for a wet suit) underwater tunnels surrounded by sharks, meander along passageways and observe stingrays, moon jellies and piranhas (without being on their lunch menu) view the beautiful open air lagoons filled with tropical fish and if that not enough you can explore the new Dolphin Cay where you can swim, wade and interact with the dolphins in their very own 11 acre lagoon, this would be a once in a life time experience to socialize with these charismatic creatures. Dolphin Cay is home to 17 dolphins that were displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Enough fishy tales lets move along to the thrills and spills of Atlantis but still keeping with the water theme.
Aquaquest, is a water park like no other water park, you can spend the entire day here without ever leaving it. Experience the awe of the mighty 120 foot tall slide tower which is one of the grand centerpieces of Atlantis waterscape, the Abyss (not for the faint hearted) a 200 foot long body slide that descends a staggering 50 foot near vertical drop and plunges you into the infested alligator lagoon (steaks anyone) then you have the mighty Mayan Temple which offers five rides, including The Leap of Faith, another near vertical drop this time passing you through a shark filled lagoon (don’t worry they are behind glass). Then you have Ride the Current, this is a mile long expedition with four foot waves pushing you along underground tunnels, rapids and slides. Phew, I’m exhausted after all that!!!!! Oh by the way if that’s not enough water activity for you Atlantis also has 13 swimming areas and a 7 acre protected Paradise Lagoon where snorkelers can explore the wonders of tropical marine life (now I’m really ready to try something a little different and drier) perhaps a little retail therapy at Crystal Court, a little black jack at the Atlantis Casino, a refreshing cocktail in one of the many bars and lounges, or a meal in one of the 22 restaurants offering anything from casual dining to a word gourmet meal at the famous Japanese restaurant Nobu, or the chance to boogie the night away at the Atlantis Nightclub with its roof top bar. Of course if you’re feeling a little more energetic than me, then how about a round of golf on one of the worlds most beautiful and demanding courses at the Ocean Club Golf Course which is a magnificent 18-hole, par 72 championship course, or a work out at the Atlantis Sports Centre boasting a full line of weight machines, a 25 meter four lane lap pool, a full basketball court and a new tennis centre, phew! All this talk of sports leaves me ready for a spot of pampering and relaxation at the all new Mandars Spa, so please take a walk with me to the awe-inspiring Mandara Spa which is Balinese in style and offers 30,000 square feet of pure indulgence, access to the spa is via a glass bridge and a bamboo water garden, this truly is a divine sanctuary which is awash with natural elements such as wood, stone and bamboo, will I ever want to leave?
Before I go I must tell you all about the accommodation at Atlantis, the Royal Towers its here that the myth of the lost city comes to life, the Coral Towers offers a tropical and casual atmosphere set amidst the lagoons, the Beach Towers are very Caribbean in style and offers a laid back environment, and finally the new all suite Cove which offers an exclusive world of style and the ultimate setting within Atlantis an oceanfront location set between two superb beaches, every room offers flat screen TVs, Bose surround sound systems, marble bathrooms and ocean views.
So if you want to go beyond paradise then come and stay at Atlantis.
'til next time,
Catherine
